A long-range guide for development and community investment

Determines the vision and goals for the next 10-15 years

Serves as the basis for land use and zoning regulations

Per Indiana law, must include at minimum:

  • Statement of objectives for future development

  • Statement of policy for land use development

  • Statement of policy for the development of public ways, public lands, and public utilities
